Phosphor Copper
Product Overview
15% Phosphor Copper – recognized for its quality and performance in deoxidizing alloys, increasing fluidity, and inhibiting gas porosity.
8% Phosphor Copper – used primarily in the production of 390 alloy aluminum as a grain refiner to enhance strength, wear resistance, and machinability of this aluminum-silicon casting alloy.
Forms and Packaging
- 15% phosphor copper is available in either shot or waffle form.
- Shot is 1/2 inch / 13.0 mm diameter and smaller, or can be specially sized to meet specific application needs. Shot can also be packaged in pre-weighed packets of 2 oz., 3 oz., 4 oz., and 5 oz.
- Waffle is rectangular and weighs approximately 15 lbs. / 7 kg. Due to its brittleness, 15% phosphor copper waffle is easily broken into smaller pieces.
